Here are a few of my initial shots using the new Canon 5d MKIII with most of the photos (except for the last one) on high ISO (1600-2000).
Taken last Friday at the CrossroadsKC @ Grinders, Kansas City, MO. For Red Bull Locally Thrown.
- ISO 1600, 2.8, 1/200

ISO 640, 5.6, 1/60
Natural light on the right, Strobe with umbrella 45 deg. right, Strobe with gel on left.

Coming from the previous MK II version, I would say the focus and ISO have significantly improved with the new MK III, as claimed. The slightly bigger body made some improvements with handling plus a few bells and whistles here and there (SD card, EVF grid, 60p.. ) makes this a worthy upgrade. I don’t really care about the HDR and almost more than half of the new stuffs added in the menu/settings screen but I can’t complain. A bit confusing at first (even if I was familiar with the 7d control) but I’m generally confused most of the time anyway.
.. and don’t forget to update your Adobe Camera Raw/ Photoshop/ Lightroom/ DNG Converter if you’re shooting RAW.
